The Year of the Leopard

Happy 2019! This is my first post of the year and i’m so excited to see what this year holds. Now that I am not having to post for my class, I can focus on the content that I am passionate about on here, as well as my Youtube Channel!

You probably noticed while shopping this holiday season, leopard is EVERYWHERE. Leopard was one of the top trends of fall/winter 2018 and is following us into the new year. I have been loving experimenting with this print and can’t wait to try out different looks throughout the year.

I have put together a few outfits with this bold and sassy print that are perfect for 2019!

These leopard silk pants from Nasty Gal are EVERYTHING. They are high wasted, making them the perfect pants to pair with a crop top or bralette like I did. I have also worn these pants with a tucked in oversized band tee, which was a super cute but more casual look. These pants can easily be dressed up or down making them the perfect go-to’s of 2019.

I picked up this leopard shift dress from Pacsun on a recent shopping trip. I paired it with a black turtle neck and black thigh high’s to make it wearable for the winter season. This dress is perfect to transition into the upcoming spring and summer season because it’s spaghetti strapped. You could also pair it with a short sleeved solid color shirt for warmer weather or add a light denim jacket and a belt for a super easy, yet adorable look!

I’ve seen a TON of faux fur this season! Black, white, pink, red, and especially leopard. This leopard faux fur bomber is from a local boutique, Voge. (if you don’t live in the area, you can get it here) This jacket can be worn with pretty much anything whether it’s leggings and a tee, jeans and a cute top, or a dress, which is the rout I chose to go.

You can find pretty much any article of clothing in leopard print including biker shorts, various jackets, pants, shirts, dresses, ect. I included a few cute pieces I found from various clothing stores that are perfect to get the leopard in your closet started!

Not only are leopard clothes super popular, but accessories as well! I’ve been obsessed with this variety pack from Pacsun lately. I’ll throw this scrunchie on my wrist or in my hair to add another fun element to an outfit. I’m also living for other accessories such as bags or belts in this fun print as well.

& of course I cant forget about shoes! Though you can find pretty much any kind of shoe you want in this print, I chose a few from Steve Madden to showcase because they’re shoes that I would totally wear. I have really been into sneakers, especially chunky sneakers so I thought pair 1 and 3 were so cute and could really spice up a simple look. I envision a white crop with a black slip dress over and a pair of these sneaker or something of the sort. I also threw in the leopard booties because I know they’re super popular right now and think they’re adorable as well.

Don’t think the leopard trend has to stop after this season, you can bring your wild side out this summer with a super cute leopard swimmie. I have one I got at the end of last summer I never got to wear and I can’t wait to bring it out this year.
